Whats up fam, Im back. It has been a min, working the Brian Mitchell camp and all. I have missed some important topics in sports this past week or so, but lets me take the time and circle back around.

Shaq, being who he is and doing what Shaq does - laid down a diss rap (if we dare call it that) against Kobe (reported by TMZ first).

Now here is the deal - ESPN reports that not only one (Arizona) but now a second (Bedford VA) sheriff have asked for the badges that he has to be given back. The funny part of all of this is the statement made by the sheriff in Arizona. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the use of a racially derogatory word and other foul language left him no choice. "I want his two badges back," Arpaio told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they're fired. I don't condone this type of racial conduct."

STOP RIGHT THERE......now Im NOT saying what Shaq said and did was right! BUT........for as many cops that we all know has been caught saying that same word and none of them lost their jobs........

You will have a hard time convincing me that NONE of his cops/sheriffs have NEVER used that word! Sheriff Joe Arpaio - good PR move, but wrong reasoning!!!!

As the NBA takes center stage, with the NBA finals, it is for another reason that it's catching the headlines these days. Yes Donaghy's has found his way back into the headlines.

This time he is delivering some information. Is what he has to say true or is this just another attempt of a convicted felon not having nothing to lose and trying to take down whoever else he can, remains to be seen. But what he has done is put into question, once again, the integrity of the game. ESPN reports that in a filing made by his attorney in U.S. District Court in New York, he alleges that during the playoffs in 2002 referees felt that "it was in the NBA's interest to add another game to the series" and thus made calls that effected the outcome of the game.

Of course 'the great David Stern' has denied all of these allegations. Of course, as he should, he is blaming these allegations on a desperate attempt of a convicted felon - trying to discredit anything that Donaghy is saying.

Here is the problem with Stern's attempt to discredit: This years Finals between the Lakers and the Celtics are doing nothing but add to this scrutiny! The jobs that the current referees are doing are questionable at best - and these officials have absolutely nothing to do with Donaghy. All you need to do is take a look at Game 2 of the series - Lakers SHOOT A TOTAL OF 10 FREE THROWS while the home team, Boston, has 38 attempts 38 ATTEMPTS!

That is right at home Boston averaged 36 free throw attempts per game to the Lakers 19, but once they travel to LA - now Boston (in Game 3) only attempts 22 free throws, while the Lakers takes Boston's attempts place by shooting 34 free throws. If that is not inconsistent I dont know what is!

True basketball fans have been saying this for years, well maybe not EXACTLY those words that Donaghy uses, but there has been a level of suspension with the officiating of NBA games.

Are we shocked - NO. Can we believed that this came out and is happening - YES! Did we actually THINK it would come out that this was taking place - probably not.

But you know what, we are here now and Donaghy's counterparts are NOT doing much to dis-spell or disprove his words.
